Chance Wade McBride, 31, of Oklahoma City, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017. He was born August 19, 1985, to Karen Sue (Truskey) and Gary Lynn McBride in Oklahoma City.


Chance worked as a catering manager at Panera Bread. A lover of the outdoors, Chance liked hiking, camping and free climbing mountains and loved being surrounded by the awe-inspiring natural beauty of Colorado. Chance taught himself to play the guitar and liked listening to all types of music, from Bob Willis to Metallica. He greatly enjoyed playing dominoes and considered himself an expert player.


He is survived by his mom and dad, Karen Sue and Ronnie Guthrie, of Moore; aunt Denise King and husband Joe, of Edmond; 2 cousins, Jared King and daughter Stella, of Edmond, and Taylor King, of Oklahoma City; father, Gary McBride and significant other Evelyn Howell, of Moore, and their extended family; and his 4-legged baby, Clyde.


Chance is preceded in death by his grandparents, Don and Colleen Truskey; and brother, Jason McBride.


An informal memorial service will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 17, 2017, at the Lynlee Mae Chapel, 507 E. Main St. in Moore.
Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, OK.
