Kathryn Maxine Wisener, known as Mickey, died peacefully surrounded by family early Sunday morning April 2, 2017 at the age of 86 years.Mickey was born near Allen, OK on Jan. 22, 1931. She was the first of three children born to Bill and Ellen Stanfield. Mickey has one younger brother H.C. “Buzz” Stanfield and wife Gretchen of Tulsa. Her younger sister Kathy Bennet passed away in 2016.

Mickey was married for 31 years to the one and only love of her life, David Drexel Wisener in 1947.David passed away Christmas Day 1978 at the age of 52.Mickey was the loving mother of three children, son, Mike and wife Linda of Tuttle, Son, Steve and Rebecca of OKC, and daughter Susan who preceded her in death in 2009. Mickey was blessed with 6 grandchildren, Katie Kroth of OKC, Shem Wisener of Maysville, Joe Wisener of Bridgecreek, Lacee Wisener of OKC, and Brandi of OKC, and Jennifer Wisener who passed away in 1977. Mickey had one great grandchild, Mia who just turned 1 year old.

Mickey was born and raised in the dust bowl days in Oklahoma. Like many others her family moved to California in Mid 1930’s.Mickey would later attend school and live in Woodland, CA. This is where she would meet her future husband, Dave who was a sailor in WWII. They were married in 1947 and first son Mike was born in Woodland in 1948. They would soon move to Lindsay, OK where they made it their home. Their daughter Susan was born in 1951 and son Steve in 1953, both in Pauls Valley.

Mickey was a much-loved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and finally great grandmother who will be dearly missed. Her passing is made much easier knowing of her faith in God and he strong desire to be reunited in heaven with many loved ones. She had spoken of being ready to go home many times and said she had been talking to husband Dave and her sweet grandparents for several days before her passing.

Mickey was able to spend Sunday afternoon a month ago with a special nephew Larry Wisener and wife Dee and daughter Shawna from Lubbock. It was a very beautiful and unforgettable day.

Mickey was a wonderful and loving mother to her family and faithful and supportive wife to her husband. She was an award-winning cook proven by her grand champion coconut cake purchased for a record then of $475 by local businessman and family friend Charles Somers.

After Dave’s passing Mickey would become provide and cornerstone of the family.Katie and Susan would live with her until Susan’s passing in 2009.She and Katie would move to OKC a year later and live a couple of houses away from Steve and Rebecca where they lived for the next seven years. Katie took wonderful and loving care of Mickey for several years before her passing. Mickey had a full and wonderful life and full of adventures and good times.

Yes, she will be greatly missed but we get peace and comfort knowing she was a believer in God and that she is finally getting to go home.We love her more than words could ever express and we thank you dear Lord for the blessing of letting her be in our lives as long as you did.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to be  made in Kathryn's honor to Pets & People Humane Society, PO Box 850587, Yukon, OK  73085.   Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Greenhill Cemetery in Lindsay, OK.
