I am Mack Baker's 3rd son. Roy Baker was Mack Baker's cousin. As a youth, I mowed Roy & Lorene's yard. I now own the house that Jim grew up in. I still live on the Baker homestead. I am sorry to hear of your loss.

Dear family, I just saw this pop up on fb. Mr. Baker was so fun and sweet. My friend and I wanted to be in band but were horrible. So, during tryouts, he didn't make us do them, he just let us switch seats....last chair and next to last chair. Then he started a group called "The flag girls". He put us in there. Probably because he didn't want to hear the awful noise that came from our clarinets. LOL He was greatly admired at Mustang! So sorry to hear about his passing. I'm sure he was well loved by family.

My brother Daniel Troxel and my sister LaVonda Troxel both were in the band with Mr. Baker. Later in life my husband Bobby (deceased) Russell and I attended church with him at Southern Hills Church of God. He was a very good musician and I could see that he loved what he did. I wanted to be in band but my desire was the piano and you can't take that to ball games. LOL. Sorry for your loss.
