Donald Paul Mattingly, 48, passed away on April 2, 2017.Don was born in Hicksville, Ohio on Dec. 19, 1968 to Donald Ray and Lola Lorrain (Morris) Mattingly. 

He attended Moore Schools and after graduation entered the U.S. Navy.  Don worked as an airplane mechanic at TAFB.  He was an avid OU and Dallas Cowboys fan.  He also enjoyed playing pool, golfing, fishing and singing karaoke.  His greatest love was spending time with his daughter, Sara. 

Don is survived by his daughter, Sara Mattingly; step children, Isaac Holloway and Haley Vore; mother, Lola Franks; siblings, Laura Burkett and husband Gary and Lorraine Mattingly; 2 nieces, Jessica Chatman and husband Brad, Stephanie Longest and husband Chad; nephew, Phillip Burk, and wife Tracie; great niece, Khourtney Chatman; 7 great nephews, Beckam Longest, Malachi Chatman, Micah Chatman, Braylon Chatman, Tucker Mattingly, Justin Longest and Maddox Burk; and a host of cousins and other loving family members. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Ray Mattingly and nephew, Justin Paul Mattingly. 

The family will be receiving friends from 5-8 PM on Monday, April 10, 2017.Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Southgate Baptist Church 740 SW 4th Street, Moore, Ok.  Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home, Moore, OK.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Jack served in the US Navy with Don and was a very close friend during that time. He even lived with us for a short time and became like a brother to me. We will miss him and will be praying for all of you.

I'm so very sad to hear of Don's passing. I could always count on Don to cheer me up or help me out if needed. He was such a nice person to me! So very sad for his family and all who knew him, we miss you already Don!
