Darrell was a member of Heavenly Height Baptist Church. He was employed at Sun Oil as a shop foreman, until he became the owner and operator of Moore Overhead Door, until he sold the business in 1999, and he and his wife, Etta purchased a motor home and traveled all over the United States and Canada. They also enjoyed going to Bluegrass festivals. He was very innovative. His daughter, Jill said there was no challenge too big for her father. Darrell enjoyed playing Dominos, woodworking and traveling. He also enjoyed sports and was an Oklahoma City Thunder fan and an OU Sooners fan. He enjoyed watching Fox News and Westerns, especially John Wayne. Darrell was a very mild and relaxed individual, who never met a stranger and never raised his voice. Etta said the one word that described their marriage was, “Perfect.” His first love was his Lord and Savior, being with his wife, Etta, his family and grandchildren.

Dearest Etta, So sorry to hear of Darrell's passing, as you know he was more like a brother to us than a cousin. He loved our Mom like she was his Mom and she him. They were always buddies. I can remember when we were kids in school Mom & Dad took all three of us places like we were all brother & sisters. A lot of people thought we were for a long time. I know your heart is broken but remember the good times and God will take care of the bad in his time. It won't be easy, but it will take time.
One Day At A Time!! That's All We Are Promised. God Loves You And He Will Help You Through This Difficult Time. I hope to see you at the Service. Our Love & Prayers are with You Always
